Things to keep them busy

The activity booklet is available at the reception and is filled out as you walk. The investigation game adds a storyline to the rooms until the end of 2026. The museum's free app includes a children's trail designed as a mystery, which works well with a phone and a pair of headphones. The four trails are described on the app and audio guide.

The trail through a child's eyes

The winter garden and its double-revolution staircase impress everyone, even at eight years old. The Italian museum on the upper floor holds up with Uccello's Saint George and the dragon. The private apartments are small and quickly passed through. The rest is a matter of patience: allow an hour and a quarter rather than two, and head to the tea room before things get out of hand.
